Our History

Founded in 2015, our club was developed by a bunch of local dads who simply wanted their children to enjoy football in a fun, friendly and pressure-free environment. So they set up a soccer school which enjoyed great success, and out of which the first junior teams were born under the name of "Saddleworth Strikers." In 2021, we embraced a name and badge that better represent our local heritage, becoming "Saddleworth FC."

Recently, we also rebranded our soccer school to "Saddleworth FC Football Academy," ensuring a seamless footballing journey for our players from age 4 to 16. This evolution reflects our commitment to both our roots and our future growth.
